Jack Baldwin is 49 years of age and spent his whole life in Northern California. After completing his elementary and secondary education, he went on to attend California State University, Chico.   After being retired for several years, he married and acquired two step-sons.  

One day while standing around the Bar-B-Que, the eldest mentioned to Jack that he had an idea that would help fishermen to fish more efficiently and without need of that elusive third hand. An idea that would enable a fisherman to fish alone without help of a friend to bring in "THE BIG ONE." An idea that was inexpensive and easy to use. An idea that was safe to use and helped to maintain a safe environment on a boat.  He also mentioned that this product would not only help reduce the failure of netting fish by either dehooking or spooking the fish.

This is the genesis of Net ’n’ Buddy...

Robert Piatt is 30 years old and has been fishing for 25 years.  Since the first time he went fishing, he has had a burning obsession with every aspect of the sport. He has fished many rivers and lakes from Southern California all the way up the west coast, to and including Alaska, and countless hours in the Pacific Ocean.

How It Works...

Net 'n'Buddy easily attaches to any fish net pole and retracts the net so that the net does not fall into the water, thus eliminating the chance of spooking or dehooking the fish before you get it completely into the net.  Net 'n' Buddy also provides for neater and safer stowing of your nets.

Net 'n' Buddy is made of a durable material that will resist weather, salt water and sunlight. The elastomeric base and adjustable tie allow proper fit on net pole handles that range up to 5 inches in diameter. The attachment has a non-permanent, reduced slippage base and can be removed easily.  Net 'n' Buddy is so simple it's amazing no one has thought of it before.

Net 'n' Buddy attaches securely to the handle of your net with the included strap. Pull the net back and attach it to the magnetic hook.  Catch a fish.  Slip the net under the fish and raise the net.  The weight of the fish detaches the magnetic hook from the body of Net 'n' Buddy.   After you have landed the fish, reattach the magnetic hook to the body of Net 'n' Buddy and you are ready for the next big one.
